Volunteer Opportunities

Every person is important and every person can do something good.  Think about what you are passionate about.  What do you see yourself doing in your future plans?  The answers to these questions will help you find a volunteer cause.

How often have we said we don't have time to help out, but then go home and sit on the sofa for hours texting or watching tv?  Everyone has time to volunteer.  Just a couple hours a week or month can help make a difference to someone somewhere.

Scholarships and colleges prefer students who are willing to give some of their time to help out in the community.  Below are just a few places that are always looking for volunteers.

  • Age 16 and up
  • Have compassion for homeless animals
  • Be committed to work together to create a brighter future for animals
  • Be consistent and reliable in helping care for animals
  • Must be willing to volunteer 8 hours a month for 6 months

  • In house volunteers are asked to agree to complete 100 hours total, 2-4 hours per week at the hospital.  For the safety and well being of the patients, health and background screenings will be done for in-house volunteers. In-house volunteers must be 16 - 18 years of age and will need parental permission.
  • Community Volunteers is an equally important opportunity in the hospital, but does not require the time commitment or health & background screening.  You can help out in the community with:
    • Special Events
    • Complete volunteer projects at home
