    Cortez High School was established as part of the Glendale Union High School District in 1960. Cortez is part of the College Board’s 2013 National Advanced Placement District of the Year and has been continuously listed on U.S. News & World Report's Best High School Ranking list. Along with its educational excellence, Cortez boasts several opportunities for students to be involved in extracurricular activities. Cortez High School is located in Phoenix off 31st Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.

    Cortez STUCO hosts the GUHSD Annual Student Council District Convention

    On March 1st, Cortez STUCO hosted the GUHSD Annual Student Council District Convention. Our district student representatives not only use their time to discuss student involvement, they also spent time getting involved with their community, volunteering their time from beautifying the neighborhood to working with senior citizens. The theme of the convention was Leaders of Tomorrow, but all of the Glendale Union High School student council members are truly our leaders of today.  READ MORE...
