Special Shout Outs
- A big thank you to our Student Council for organizing an amazing Homecoming Week, and to our Senior Class for planning and hosting a fantastic Homecoming Dance. The week was filled with spirit and celebration—from the carnival and football game with fireworks and floats, to the incredible concert performances by our Choir and Vocal Ensemble. Our Band and Cheer Team brought the energy, storming the campus with the fight song—what an incredible display of Colt pride!
- Congratulations to our Band on taking third place at a recent competition in Tucson. Well done, Colts!
Looking Ahead
- Winter Sports will begin next week, including basketball, soccer, and wrestling. Students interested in participating should contact Mr. Galbreath, Assistant Principal of Operations and Athletics, for more information.
- The GUHSD Marching Band Expo will take place on Sunday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. at Glendale Community College. This free community event will highlight the incredible talent of our district’s marching bands. We encourage all families to attend!
- Future Freshman Night is scheduled for November 12 at 6:30 p.m. (visit www.guhsdaz.org/futurefreshman for details). This event provides families of incoming freshmen with a first look at the opportunities and programs that make GUHSD schools among the best in Arizona.
