DEVRY UNIVERSITY DeVry's Passport2College Program is available to high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the summer of 2010. There is NO tuition cost. Students may take one of the courses listed, which would provide them with college credits.
- Financial Accounting - This course emcompasses all business forms and various sectors such as merchandising, manufacturing and services. Students make extensive use of spreadsheet applications to analyze accounting records and financial statements.
- Intro to Business & Technology - This course introduces business and how the roles and functions of how it operates. Economic, cultural, political and technological factors affecting business are studied.
- Lab Science Career Entry Exploration & Phlebotomy - Students explore career opportunities associated with professions in pathology, the science to understand changes in function and structure of organs, tissues, cells and their body fluids that lead to disease and death.
- Into to Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology w/Lab - This course introduces basic concepts of electronics and computer engineering technology field.
- Intro to Game & Simulation Development - This course provides a broad overview of the game industry, and the game developement and design process. Topics include game terminology, history of games, genre analysis, and much more.
LAMSON COLLEGE Lamson College is offering high school seniors the chance to pre-enroll in classes. Because they offer smaller classes, space is limited. Pre-enrolling will ensure that you will have a seat reserved in the program that you chose. Pre-enrollment will be available in April. Lamson offers degree and diplomas in:

THE AMERICAN LEGION LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER ACADEMY: The American Legion in its commitment to the Children and Youth of this country, annually sponor a program for teenagers who have an interest in, and/or may be planning for a career in law enforcement. This is a 7 day law enforcement training program for ages 12 thru 18.
The program will cost $225 per cadet. Scholarships are available for those in need. The academy was held at Emmanuel Pines Camp for 2009, June 19 - June 25. New 2010 information will be available in the spring. Applications will be available in the Career Center.
