The Cortez Boys and Girls Wrestling teams spent two days taking it to the mats at the Centennial High School Officer Brad Jones Pack Invitational. This annual tournament honors the life of former Centennial wrestler and fallen Police Officer, Brad Jones. In addition to the two days of wrestling and emotional opening ceremonies, one of the highlights of the final evening is the presenting of the Officer Brad Jones Citizenship Award. The Jones family selects the wrestler who best exemplifies citizenship, service, and the spirit that Officer Jones possessed. Congratulations to Cortez Wrestler, Wesley Ostrander, for being selected by the Jones Family for this honor.

In the girls division of the Officer Brad Jones Invitational this weekend, the lady colt wrestlers ended the tournament in 5th place as a team. In the weight class with the largest number of female wrestlers, Natalie Ibarra wrestled her way into the finals and onto the podium to bring home a 4th place medal. Congratulations Natalie.
