Football (Hansen) There is no off-season Colts! All Cortez football players are expected, that is right, expected to be at our weekly workouts after school. Coach Hooper will be on campus every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for after school workouts. These are not voluntary, but required workouts that all potential football players must attend. If you cannot attend due to personal reasons you must speak with Coach Hansen in room 552. As always, if you are helping Cortez by participating in another sport, you are exempt from coming while that sport is in season. Once again, All football players who are currently not in another sport, must meet in room 552 right after school for workouts every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Thank you and we will see you there.

FCA (Hansen) Attention Colts! FCA will be meeting every Friday at 7:30 in room 552. That is right, Friday Morning before school FCA will meet in room 552. If you want to energize the start of your school year, please join us for positive encouragement. We welcome all to come enjoy fun, games, and an inspiring message. This week we have dodge ball, come lose to coach Hansen.

Calvins Corral (Starchman) Hey, Colts!   Calvin's Corral will be open after school every Tuesday and Thursday starting tomorrow!  We will be serving White Castle slider, beef and bean burritos, Taquitos and French bread pizza and other snacks foods... Come out after school and grab something to eat and drink....  The Corral is located near the football field.  See you there!!

Wrestling (Meier) Huge shout out to our boys’ freshmen wrestlers who competed this weekend at Freshman State. Wyatt Ostrander earned 3rd place! Special congratulations to our lady wrestlers who competed at the Girls Sectional Tournament which is the state qualifier. Natalie Ibarra earned 1st Place and is our 160 lb Section CHAMPION! This earned her a spot competing for a State Championship on the 14th!

Academic Decathlon (Starchman) Congratulations to this year's academic decathlon team for powering through ten grueling rounds of regional competition.  ALL team members placed in the top 11 for at least one category!! Please congratulate Brian Pham, Jack Charters, Grecia Medina, Rotimi Odeneye and Gus Najera when you see them.  Team MVP award goes out to Caleb Santa Cruz for winning a bronze for his speech and a silver in mathematics.  Simply outstanding!!

Tennis (Gittens) There will be open court Today, Monday from 3:30 til 5:00. Racquets are available. These are the last two open courts before tryouts so come out to open court today to see if tennis might be for you. That's today from 3:30 til 5:00 at the tennis courts. See you there!
