Boys Basketball (Jerome) Attention all those wanting to try out for boy’s basketball.  The first official practice begins November 4th.  You will need to be cleared by the bookstore with a physical, finished RMA (Register MY Athlete), and concussion (if a freshman).  Please do not wait!  Please come to coach Jerome's room for the necessary paper work in room 550.
Theater(Rogers) Attention all of you students who are currently in Theater or who have been in the past.  If you are interested in being trained and working as a techie in the auditorium please come to room 1301 after school on Wednesday, October 30th. You must be passing all your classes and have taken theater to be a part of this training. 

Student Council (Sultani) Hey Colts, as we quickly approach the holiday season, it's time to step up and give back to our community.  Starting this week, student council will begin collecting canned foods for our annual canned food drive.  The winning 3rd hour class will receive a pizza party as well as ultimate recognition at our upcoming winter sports assembly.  Donate any and all canned food and nonperishable items as well as cash money to your third hour class.  One dollar equals 3 cans.  Please look for flyers around campus for more information.  Let's come together to make a difference, let's can hunger.  

Garden Club (Starchman) The Garden Club will be meeting this Thursday right after school to plant flowers.   Meet up in Mr Starchman's room to sign in.   If you have gardening gloves bring them...   We will also be hunting the cats on campus for Halloween soup.

Athletics (Hill) ALL ATHLETES – please go to the North Gym after school this Thursday, for an Athlete Assembly. 

Career Center (Hernandez) Attention students! Are a current Sophomore or junior interested in starting your Career as a high school student? Are you interested in a Career as a Fire Fighter?

West- Mec may be the place for you! Attend their Fire Science Open House at GCC this Tuesday, Nov. 5th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to explore your options and determine if this is the right program for you!! Please visit the Career Center, Rm. 1218, if you have any questions!

Media Center (Beyer) This week is Crafts - Or - Treat Week in the media center. Each day will have new crafts relating to Autumn and Halloween. Today is Pumpkin Vs Spider. Stop by and be amazed by what you can do with some pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and a little creativity. Don’t forget, all participants will receive a treat each day they stop by to make a craft or check out a book. 

Media Center (Beyer) Ms. Smith would like to thank Cortez for supporting her and her book, Lunar Night. If you still would like to buy a book, there are a few left in the media center. You can also purchase the book and eBook through Amazon, or you can check one out from the media center.

Lunch Activity (Jefferson) Calling All Freshmen! Tomorrow during both lunches come to the quad for your Halloween Bash. There will be activities and candy. Come one, Come all.

Cross Country (Yanez)Congrats to the Cross Country team for receiving 2nd place at the meet against Thunderbird, Raymond Kellis, and Barry Goldwater High Schools.  Captain Bubasha Bisengo came in FIRST PLACE out of 57 runners!  Ilembo Kibukila got 6th place!  Both boys and girls ran a fabulous race!  Most runners made a personal record for themselves! Excellent job, runners!
