Rachel Svardal is a proud alumni of Cortez who graduated in 1992. She completed her student teaching at Cortez in the fall of 2001, and began teaching full-time at her alma mater in 2002. She teaches Language Arts and the AIMS Reading Standards class, and has previously coached the Cortez High School Speech Team. Rachel has dual bachelor's degrees in Secondary Education and English from Arizona State University West, and is currently working on a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Arizona State University in Tempe.
