Cary Gilbert is a class of 83 graduate of Cortez and has has been teaching at Cortez since 2003. He began his Cortez teaching career teaching students in a multiple disabilities community based classroom. In 2008 he moved into the Cortez life skills department to teach in this outstanding program. Cary volunteers his time with Special Olympics, Best Buddies and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Along with volunteering Cary has coached Cortez freshman baseball and volleyball.
Mr Gilbert has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Saint Mary's University in Winona Minnesota and Masters Degree in Special Education from Arizona State University.
