WELCOME COLTS' FANS
Fall sports have begun and are off to a great start. We hope that parents are excited about their students extracurricular activities and have been able to attend their activities. Winter sports start permissive practice on November 2, 2009 and Spring sports permissive practice starts on February 8, 2010. Refer to the eligibility section to make sure that all requirements have been met to be cleared to participate.
All transferring students must complete an AIA 520 form in order to become eligible for athletics at Cortez.
The practice of good sportsmanship and positive relationships between Cortez and other student bodies is essential to the continued welfare of our school and student body. We have worked hard to achieve a favorable image in the eyes of those with whom we come in contact.
It is hoped that all participants and their supporters will continue the development of those characteristics of sportsmanship and friendliness that have identified our student body in the past.
Members of our athletic teams are expected to set a positive example of citizenship and attendance. Any student athlete violating any of the general citizenship or attendance regulations may face the temporary loss of his/her eligibility to participate by the school administration. Participation in athletics and activities is a privilege to be earned.
For further information on eligibility please refer to the eligibility section under athletics.
